Tell us what you have
Name, color, weight, location. The planned assistant understands context and asks for missing details.
A companion for those who create and sell
Imagine organizing fabrics, threads and notions just by talking. Matelassê is being developed to recognize materials, estimate quantities and help plan projects without asking you to learn a complicated system.
For Brazilian artisans. Designed to use Claude, catalogs and verifiable calculations.

I have Linhas Corrente Camila Flex Framboesa. I weighed 180 grams and will store it in the thread drawer.
Camila Flex, Framboesa color 01709, article 1286S00. Review the details before confirming. To estimate length, I still need the packaging tare.

Make room for your expertise
The right color is in a box somewhere. The thread seems enough, but will it cover the order? Between drawers, notebooks, spreadsheets and messages, finding what you already own can take time away from creating.
Manual registration, duplicate purchases, hard-to-measure leftovers and scattered costs: these situations guide Matelassê, to bring clarity to materials, production and margins.
Product hypotheses informed by atelier workflows, awaiting customer validation.
From your words to your organization
More than a chat: a bridge between what you say, what the catalog knows and what is in your atelier.
Name, color, weight, location. The planned assistant understands context and asks for missing details.
Catalogs and measurements help prepare structured records with clear sources and limitations.
You confirm the entry. Inventory and projects will be able to share the same context.
Explore the idea
One sentence can connect a material to its catalog, recognize its weight and identify where it will be stored. Before any important change, you review.
In this example, the color is identified but the length stays pending. Without the packaging weight, the system should not invent a quantity.

Catalog intelligence
A commercial name can be the start. Families, article codes, colors, composition, nominal weight and length, TEX and commercial presentations can come from manufacturer references.
The prototype includes a PDF import proof of concept for selected families, with documentary review and traceability. Coverage varies by catalog; this is not a universal importer.
Data from the documented subset: Coats Corrente 2021 and Linhas Corrente Spring/Summer 2027. Illustration colors are approximate, not official swatches. Document review does not guarantee availability or physical calibration.
Published nominal references
100% polyester
Coats Corrente 2021 · PDF pp. 12–13
95% polyester · 5% elastane
Linhas Corrente S/S 2027 · PDF p. 4
100% mercerized cotton
Linhas Corrente S/S 2027 · PDF p. 10
Published weights have not yet been classified as net or gross. Fashion’s 158 g and 500 m do not establish a tare: the calculation uses TEX and requires calibration.
Hypothetical example: 120 g gross. Length (m) ≈ (120 − tare in g) × 1,000 ÷ 300. Without calibrated tare, there is no result in meters.
Packaging calibration requiredA new way to look at leftovers
Weigh the spool, skein or fabric. With product identification, known or calibrated packaging weight and a suitable reference, the engine can estimate usable material remaining.
Approximate thread length, fabric area or equivalent length can support planning. These estimates depend on the scale, reference and material characteristics.
For fabric scraps, shape and continuity matter too. Weight cannot guarantee a pattern will fit. The pilot has no physically validated tare dataset yet.
A place for every material
Illustrative organization: generic materials, hypothetical measurements and artisan-selected storage. No manufacturer attribution.
Plain fabric · 1.5 m × 1.4 m · shelf A
Coral and cream · 0.8 m × 1.4 m · print box
Terracotta and beige · assorted shapes · basket 2
3 m · separate roll · ribbon drawer

From inventory to production • future vision
Our next step is to connect materials to projects, consumption, costs and orders. To assess an order, understand margins and plan the next purchase with more context.
A bag could need two 35 × 40 cm cotton panels, floral lining and a 25 cm zipper. The vision is to compare these needs with inventory and flag gaps, after checking the pattern, allowances and fabric continuity.
Advanced planning is under study; this illustration does not reserve or consume materials.
Designed to use Claude
We are developing a conversational AI experience. Claude is the intended intelligence layer for turning requests into useful actions connected to your atelier.
Instead of asking you to learn the language of a system, we want the system to understand yours.
Your ideas and materials, in your own words.
Understands intent, identifies details and asks when something is ambiguous.
Tools retrieve structured data and its sources.
Verifiable rules estimate quantity using weight, tare and reference data.
Inventory and project services prepare a proposed action.
Important changes go through your review.
Claude is intended to extract names, colors, codes, weights and locations; coordinate tools; clarify ambiguity and explain limitations. Voice and images are planned.
Specifications come from documented sources; calculations stay in the deterministic engine. Claude API integration is planned. No official Anthropic partnership or endorsement.
For those who make a living creating
Designed for Brazilian artisans and microentrepreneurs, at home or in small workshops. Your expertise is the starting point for a tool that follows your routine.
Grounded product development
The prototype is a research foundation. The app is not publicly available yet, and estimates await physical validation.
Inventory and storage locations. Import of selected PDF catalog families. Deterministic estimation engine and rule-based sentence interpretation pilot.
Claude integration, natural-language actions, contextual identification, corrections and confirmations. Voice and images as future capabilities.
Projects, material consumption, costing and pricing, order planning and reports. Public catalogs and sales as future options.
Subscription model under study
Our proposal is freemium: free basic organization and affordable subscriptions for AI and business features. Plans, limits and prices require customer validation.
Free
Basic inventory, storage locations and limited assistant usage.
Atelier
AI-assisted registration, estimates, projects and cost and inventory history.
Atelier Pro
Higher assistant limits, advanced planning, reports and extended commercial features.
No plan is for sale. Recurring subscriptions are the priority, without relying on marketplace commissions.
Let’s make things clear
The app is not publicly available yet. We are developing and validating the prototype. You can email us to learn about the project.
No. This is a local illustrative script. The app prototype interprets some phrases using rules; Claude API integration is planned.
They are approximate and depend on identification, tare, reference and measurement. Without sufficient data, quantity stays pending. Physical validation and testing across materials are still needed.
We are exploring a free foundation with optional subscriptions. Features, limits and pricing still require validation. No plan is available for purchase.
